“I Graduated from WKU and got married 1 month after graduating. Mary and I are approaching our 2nd Anniversary January 10th. During college I started an inner-city basketball ministry in Kensington, Philadelphia; one of the most violent and poverty stricken neighborhoods in America. That became the focus of my life. From playing ball in the streets, I developed a league for teens and young adults where they hear the Gospel of Christ, pray together, and have weekly bible studies as well as open gym when it’s not league night. Despite being robbed more than 3 times, my wife has been a major supporter and the league has grown from serving 30 guys to over 150 in 3 years. Other than that, I have been employed with Shelby County High School teaching freshmen social studies. I am in my second year of teaching. Last year I coached girls basketball and baseball; but narrowed it down to just baseball this year–I am coaching with the one and only Bart Roettger! “
