Kent Kobayashi signed with Shawnee State University in 2004 and transferred to Bellarmine University in 2006. Kobayashi was joined by Dunbar teammate, Robby Reeves, at Bellarmine in 2007. In 2008, Kobayashi helped lead the team to a Top 25 ranking, a berth to the NCAA Tournament, and helped the team tie a school mark for wins in a season with 36.
Kobayashi is currently living in Lexington working as a web and graphic designer.
